The Practice of Yes!~ bringing it home

Towards the end of our time together we brainstormed a list of practices we could engage in to infuse our lives with gratitude and YES!  Here's what we came up with:

*An attitude of gratitude creates prosperity and abundance
*Stopping and remembering what is working and not focusing on what isn't
*Volunteering
*Voicing gratitude to people. How many people have you thanked today?
*Focusing on the presence, not the absence
*Guided meditations on gratitude--

*The Game of Life-Abundance/Florence Scovel Shinn
*Being undisturbed by appearances...Trusting the pattern to the world
*One random act of kindness every day--connect with the world by doing something nice
*Before going to bed at night, thinking of things you were thankful for that day
*Visually post affirmations or gratitude statements on the computer, bathroom mirror, washing machine....
*Gratitude statements about chores we don't like
*Gratitude for conveniences we enjoy and may forget to appreciate

*Remembering all the women in the world who do chores just like us

*WORLD PULSE brings the voices of women and children into the world--check it out!
*Sharing YES stories and journaling
*Spinning around the living room and feeling lucky for the lives we have
*Showing gratitude by sharing it with others
*Having a gratitude practice with a friend via email or other means
*Keeping a gratitude journal
*Pay the bill for the person behind you
*Pay more than $1 for a Street Roots
*Write thank-you notes
*Notice where light is reflecting in every day life,  literally and metaphorically
*Pay attention to simple pleasures--a car that works, food in the refrigerator, a day without a tragedy

*What was your yes today? Ask that question of the next generation
*Keep a gratitude blog
*Create a gratitude altar, a space in your home for gratitude
*Make gratitude books for friends

Shout YES!!!! or whisper it to yourself
